Inspired by their own skin journey, Retrouvé was created by Jami and Klaus Heidegger, renowned for their work on the beloved and iconic skincare brand, Kiehl’s.

After the sale of Kiehl’s, Jami set out to create skincare that superseded anything she was able to find on the market. Boldly embracing the most advanced, highly potent ingredients, Retrouvé was designed for adults concerned with repairing and preserving their skin. Formulated for effectiveness, the focus is on hydration and nourishment, working harmoniously to optimize the skin’s natural regenerative processes.

We achieve this objective through the hands-on experience and application of our founders’ knowledge that has been passed down through four generations in the skincare industry, through powerful ingredients in validated formulations that deliver transformative improvement to skin condition and texture, and through our Triple Airless Protection System (RTAPS313™); a technically advanced airless manufacturing process and delivery system that ensures ingredients remain as potent and stable for maximum benefit to the consumer.

existence. We also have a deep commitment to sustainability and support for our natural resources. As such, we endeavor to minimize our environmental impact through the ingredients that we use, our permaculture farm, and the way in which we package our formulations. We aim to make the world a bit better than we found it by continuing to work toward reducing our carbon footprint; by conducting our business in an ethical and kind manner; as well as through promoting diversity and equality for all and giving back to our communities.

In addition to sourcing the highest grade of ingredients from trusted suppliers, Retrouvé also incorporates produce harvested directly from the Heidegger family farm in Malibu.

Retrouvé is an elegant balance of science and nature. Klaus has been growing avocados and other produce on the family farm according to permaculture's green principles for over a decade.

Here, Jami and Klaus have sourced ranch-harvested avocados used in Retrouvé's Luminous Cleansing Elixir and Dermal Defense Hand Cream.

Retrouvé plans to cultivate and include more raw ingredients from their private orchards, affording the brand an exceptional level of control over the quality of its product.

OUR TRIPLE AIRLESS PROTECTION SYSTEM (RTAPS313™)

Traditional jars and pump containers can lead to rapid product oxidation and potential bacterial contamination, shortening shelf-life and efficacy. At Retrouvé, we employ an unmatched three-tiered airless production methodology, RTAPS313™, to preserve the integrity of our products.

HOW IT WORKS

Our formulation is manufactured under vacuum and mixed under high speed, without incorporating air.
The formulation is then dispensed into black airless containers, shielded from light.
Our signature airless pump goes beyond industry standards and helps to decrease the amount of preservative necessary for an adequate shelf life, and our dark bottles help to shield the formulation from the deleterious effects of light.

Our technically advanced airless manufacturing process and delivery system ensures ingredients remain as potent and stable as possible for maximum benefit to the skin.
